Find out more about the opportunities that you have as a postgraduate student to get involved with campus life.
As a postgraduate student you automatically become a member of both the Keele Students' Union (SU) and Keele Postgraduate Association (KPA). Keele SU and the KPA are there to advise, support and represent students. The SU and KPA will provide you with opportunities to get involved in throughout your time as a Keele student, so be sure to check out what's going on during welcome and beyond.
In particular, the KPA provides specialist representation for all Keele postgraduates, as well as offering vital support and information. They have their very own KPA Clubhouse - a great place for food and drinks. In addition, they organise a variety of events across the University to give postgraduates the opportunity to discuss their own research and develop skills.
Want to keep fit and healthy while at Keele or maybe try your hand at a new sport? There are a wide range of facilities available at the Sports Centre.
There is a wide range of restaurants, cafes, takeaways and bars on campus, which can provide the ideal setting to catch up with friends during breaks and after lectures. Students are also able to select a catering package, and there are shops on campus to buy food from. For more information, as well as cooking tips and inspiration take a look at our food and drink webpages.
Keele University is located in North Staffordshire, just outside of the town of Newcastle-under-Lyme. The town centre has a wide selection of independent shops and bars, and students can travel slightly further afield to the city centre of Stoke on Trent for more high street names and bars and clubs.
Keele’s central location also provides easy access to Alton Towers, the Peak District, and the city centres of Manchester and Birmingham.
Keele is a diverse, multicultural and multi-faith community. We have chaplains and faith advisers from some of the major religions who can offer any student or member of staff support and guidance. The Chaplains are here to serve and support people of all faiths, and none. They can support pastorally, spiritually and emotionally. We also have spaces available on campus set aside for prayer and reflection.
