Why Support Keele?
Keele University has been enhancing the lives of individuals, families and businesses since its initial foundation in 1949.
The first class teaching and learning facilities available within the UK’s largest campus have so far produced more than 45,000 graduates who are utilising their expanded knowledge, skills and ambition in more than 100 countries across the world. In fact, in 2015, Keele was named as one of the UK’s top ten universities in terms of employment rates, as well as being ranked first for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey for three years running (2014, 2015, 2016).
It is not only our students and alumni who have benefitted from what we can offer. Alongside 11 other universities in the West Midlands, it is estimated that Keele has helped to add more than £4.5billion to the wider economy. Add to this the £27million spent annually by Keele on collaborative partnerships with businesses and the wider community, as well as the £15million+ we spend each year on procuring goods and services from Staffordshire-based suppliers, and you’ll see that we have a significant economic impact locally.
In addition to the positive educational, employment and economic impact that Keele provides, our research programmes are rated amongst the best in the world, meaning that countless people and organisations will have benefitted from the breakthroughs and discoveries that Keele people, facilities and partners have helped to create. In 2014, the Research Excellence Framework classified 97% of our research as world-leading or of international importance, with ten of our disciplines being highlighted as having world-leading research impact.
However, without your help, we would not have been able to achieve anywhere near as much as we have. With your support, we can continue to:
- invest in world-class research that has global significance
- develop our learning facilities for current and future students
- preserve the heritage that our alumni experienced and cherish
- provide all students, no matter their background or finances, with the ability to achieve their full potential.
Keele University makes a difference to our students, our society and our world. With your help, we can continue to deliver changes that we can all be rightly proud of.
