Health and Wellbeing

Since the 1970s, Keele University has had strong collaborations with the local NHS, designed to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population and beyond.

Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences

Keele University's Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences has first rate Schools of Medicine, Nursing & Midwifery, Pharmacy and Health & Rehabilitation so is able to offer the full range of clinical professional programmes normally only found in much larger universities.  As well as developing excellent clinicians in a wide range of specialties, the Faculty's research institutes also enjoy significant success that is attracting international acclaim.

This clinical education and research is dependent on effective partnerships with those organisations responsible for delivery of care. To this end, the Faculty benefits from close working relationships with a range of NHS organisations and other providers including its principle academic partner, University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM).

Student Wellbeing

The Key Fund has also supported the establishment of the UK’s first Student Mediation Service, as well as providing funding towards Keele’s First Responders Team, a campus-wide emergency service.
