Supporting Keele University

Those who have studied or worked at Keele University remember their time here with great affection. Not just for the education and skills they gained, but also the beautiful campus that they experienced whilst doing so.
Each year we receive many requests for trees to be planted on campus as a memorial to a loved one. As a result, Keele University established a Memorial Garden in 2014 as an ideal place for families to do just that. Located near to the Clock House, the Garden is a calm and peaceful part of the campus with some of the best views across the Staffordshire countryside.
Families and friends are able to choose their own tree from a choice of apple, pear, damson, medlar or cherry, which will be planted in the Garden and accompanied by a plaque containing words of the family’s choosing.
An official planting ceremony can be arranged for the family to attend, as can photography should they be unable to attend in person.
All trees within the Memorial Garden are expertly maintained by the University’s Grounds Team and, whilst the area is expected to grow and develop over time, the Garden will remain as natural and as a close to nature as possible.
The cost of placing a tree in the Keele Memorial Garden is £200, which includes the tree itself as well as the planting, maintenance and plaque.
