KeeleSU, run by a team of 5 full-time Elected Officers who represent students at the highest levels of the University, is here to support, represent, entertain, develop and inspire you, our student members! You automatically become a member of the SU when you enrol at Keele so you're entitled to use all our services for free, whether that's the safety bus, our advice centre (ASK) or getting involved in a society... it's your Union!

Advice and Support at Keele (ASK) is here to help you whilst you are studying at Keele. ASK, situated on the ground floor of the SU, is an independent service, providing advice, information and assistance on a huge range of issues. Whether you need help with funding, accommodation, info on the local area or even just how to use the laundrettes, we’re here for you. KeeleSU’s Jobshop, located within ASK, is the one-stop-shop for all Keele students looking for part-time, term-time and vacation work. The Jobshop offers a FREE, professional and friendly service that advertises both external job vacancies and work within the SU.

The SU offers a wide range of activities, sport and volunteering opportunities that you can tailor to make your student experience the best it can possibly be. KeeleSU supports about 100 societies, offering something for all tastes and interests. You’ll be spoilt for choice: we’ve got everything from radio to quidditch! Keele also has a massive range of sports that you can play competitively or just for fun. Volunteering is a fantastic way to put something back into the community, compliment your studies and gain a range of transferable employability skills. It’s also a great way to meet people, have fun and boost your confidence.

KeeleSU was recently ranked as a top ten Students' Union in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2016 and we frequently get Brit-nominated acts like Ed Sheeran and Example to play in our Ballroom. We make sure there’s something to do in the Union every night of the week to suit all tastes. Come and join the fun!

Founded in 1963 in the basement of Keele Hall, we are a specialized organisation within the University celebrating our fiftieth anniversary supporting and representing postgraduate students.  From small beginnings we are now a registered charity with a dedicated full-time sabbatical President and our own Clubhouse.  Your President for 2013/14 is Lisa Ironside, who is assisted by Ian Mahoney (Association Secretary) and Adam Duell (Financial Secretary) as well as a team of other part time officers.  We all have a wide range of expertise from representing issues at course level and providing pastoral support, right through to taking a lead on national campaigns including lobbying for financial support for Masters Students.

The KPA serves as a focal point for the social life and welfare needs of postgraduate students during their time at Keele. Our hugely popular KPA Clubhouse (near Horwood Hall) offers a wide variety of drinks, reasonably priced food and social facilities. There will be an array of varied events organised throughout the year so keep an eye out in your email inbox for our latest social calendar.

In addition to the social events, the KPA also helps to host a variety of conferences, plus other academic and career sessions to give postgraduates the opportunity to come together to discuss their research, develop their skills and network.

To keep up to date with what the KPA is doing and to find out more information make sure you visit our website, find us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.
