Congratulations you've got your Clearing Place at Keele!

Now you have your university place with us, you can relax, but before you do that, you need to sort out your accommodation and we can help.
We know it's an exciting time, moving away from home, possibly for the first time and also a bit daunting.  We're here to help you and have various types of rooms available, but this may not be an en-suite room, due the majority of our accommodation already being allocated.

All our campus accommodation is easily access to all areas of the University and provides everything you need.

What to Expect when you accept your course offer:
  • Within 48 hours you should receive an email inviting you to make your accommodation application
  • Shortly afterwards you can make your online accommodation application
  • Within 48 hours of making your application you will receive an email with either an offer of campus accommodation or other options available to you
Please check your SPAM and JUNK mail folders regularly, as sometimes our initial emails can fall into these, rather than your inbox.  We will obviously use the email address you registered with UCAS.

In the unlikely event we don't have campus accommodation available we will help you find accommodation locally and match you up with other first year students.

Come and visit us

You are welcome to visit Keele University before you start, to gain a better understanding of our beautiful campus and facilities and the University as a whole.  This can by coming along to an Open Day, either Sunday 20th August or Thursday 24th August.

We can't wait to meet you and wish you every success in your next exciting steps at University.

What happens if University Accommodation is full

Don’t panic – there is a surplus of good quality, competitively priced accommodation in the local area, mainly in Newcastle-under-Lyme (town) itself, most of which is quite close to the bus station.  We have strong links with our trusted local landlords and will help you find suitable accommodation.  We only advertise accreditedlandlords – please see here for further information:  http://www.landlordaccreditation.co.uk/content/

Where possible, we will find spaces for you with other students in a similar position to enable you to live with other Keele Freshers.   However, for late applications we can’t guarantee this.

If we arrange off campus accommodation for you, we will provide you with a bus pass and you will be able to travel to and from University with other Keele students.  Students who have declined a room or failed to respond to an offer of campus accommodation and subsequently live off campus accommodation will not be eligible for the free bus pass.

Contracts

Remember that all accommodation contracts (once accepted) are legally binding whether with the University or a private landlord or provider.
