Daniel Skentelbery, Film Studies and Media graduate

Daniel Skentelbery, from Penarth, graduated with a First Class Degree in Film Studies and Media, Culture and Communications and received the prestigious prizes for his outstanding academic efforts during his studies. Daniel was awarded The Shane Meadows Prize in Film Studies, which is presented to the Film Studies student who has achieved the best overall performance; the Laura Mulvey Prize for Outstanding Dissertation in Media, Communications and Culture, and Daniel won an award titled Outstanding Performance in Film Studies Dissertation.

“I’m very proud to have been awarded these prizes, I feel a mix of emotions including relief. It shows all the hard work paid off and my dissertation was worth all the effort that I put in.

“I’m very happy and excited to graduate, I’ve met so many wonderful people, staff and students. I’ve had a lot of support from my tutors, they have been brilliant.”

Daniel, was also President of Keele’s Creative Writing Society.
