Aidan Jones, English and American Literatures graduate
In my first year as a student on the EALs course I have found that the course is a close knit group. The small size means that students quickly get to know each other and makes settling in very easy, it also means that there are a high number of lecturers to students. They are regularly available to provide help and both they and the administrative staff are very friendly.
The course itself is varied meaning it remains interesting. The study of American literature, which was largely new to me, also meant I was learning new things from the beginning and learning to look at literature in a different way. This is something I feel might not have been the case with a more traditional English Literature degree.
