Catrin Pickles Physiotherapy Scholarship

Award type: Travel to Therapies Unite Mexico

Amount: £1000

The Catrin Pickles Physiotherapy Scholarship is supported by an endowment from the Pickles family in memory of Catrin Pickles, a Keele University physiotherapy student. The award supports, in part, the travel and subsistence costs of physiotherapy students to enable them to undertake an elective charity based placement. These placements are designed to support the work of Therapies Unite, a Mexico-based rehabilitation charity, or, if this is not possible, to undertake an elective charity based placement in South America. 

This prize will be listed on the HEAR, and will be announced at graduation.

 

Dame Agnes Hunt Research Prize

Award type: Book token

Amount: £50

This prize was established in 2003 by alumni from the Oswestry School of Physiotherapy. The Oswestry School was based at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt until 1994 when the School moved to Keele.

The prize is awarded annually to the undergraduate Physiotherapy student who receives the highest mark for their final year research project. 

This prize will be listed on the HEAR, and will be announced at graduation.

 

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Postgraduate Taught Prize

Award type: cheque

Amount: £500

The prize recognises academic achievement in the postgraduate taught programmes in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and is awarded annually to the student in the Faculty who has obtained the highest mark in his or hers master's degree.

This prize will be listed on the student transcript, and will be announced at graduation.

 

The School of Health and Rehabilitation Prize for Academic Performance

Award type: Book token

Amount: £50

This prize was established in 2010. It is awarded annually to the undergraduate Physiotherapy student with the best overall academic performance, taking into account all three years of training. 

This prize will be listed on the HEAR, and will be announced at graduation.

 

The School of Health and Rehabilitation Prize for Clinical Performance

Award type: Book token

Amount: £50

This prize was established in 2010. It is awarded annually to the undergraduate Physiotherapy student with the best clinical average mark, taking into account all three years of training. 

This prize will be listed on the HEAR, and will be announced at graduation.
