Summer opportunities

Study programmes take place outside of term time during the summer holidays and last anwhere between 1-6 weeks, making them ideal if you aren't able to go abroad as part of your degree programme or don't want to commit to an extended period away.  Take the opportunity to explore a subject unrelated to your degree, or enhance your degree-related subject knowledge, whilst enjoying an international experience.

Summer 2020 Scholarships

The Global Opportunities Team has up to 20 x £500 scholarships for students who are looking to take part in an online international summer programme in 2020.

The programme does not need to be related to your degree but should be an international programme, not based in the UK. There are a number of options available to students that can be found on our summer schools webpage, but you are welcome to conduct your own research into other available summer schools. It can also be used towards the cost of attending an intensive language course outside of the UK.

For further questions please contact global.opportunities@keele.ac.uk

All students at UG and PG may apply and you must be a currently enrolled Keele student. Graduates or students due to graduate in 2020 will not be eligible.

Priority will be given to those students who are due to spend a year abroad in 2020-21 whose mobility may be affected by COVID-19 related cancellations.

You should complete the Summer 2020 Scholarships Application Form which includes a 250-500 word personal statement outlining the activities you have/will apply for and specifically how you think attendance on this course will impact your personal and future career development.

Payments will not be made until proof of a place on the programme is obtained.

The deadline for applications is Friday 12th June 2020
