Nasreen Hussain, MA Human Resource Management

Query Management & Case Administrator Officer at the Ministry of Justice

I chose to study HRM as I take a keen interest in employment law, as well as employment relations and this course was able to offer both of these subjects, as well as offering a level 7 CIPD qualification as part of the degree, which has been a stand-out factor during my job search and highly regarded in the industry. I chose to study at Keele University due to a number of different contributory factors, the first and most important was the reputation of the university in providing a good standard of education. The second was the contained campus environment, it offers a beautiful university environment affectionally referred to as ‘The bubble’. Keele came highly recommended by friends and family members who had previously studied there. Having experienced life at Keele from my undergraduate law degree, I had first-hand experience of the teaching standards, the unique environment and level of support available for students. Studying as a mature student, I harboured many reservations about how I would fit in. This was quickly put at ease by both staff and my fellow colleagues, staff made the year of study extremely enjoyable by encouraging and offering any extra support that was needed. Keele has allowed me the opportunity to achieve my academic goals, whilst simultaneously providing me with a platform to pursue my passion in a way to further my career.
