Emma Marsh, MA Education graduate

I am an A-level Chemistry teacher working in an international school in South East Asia. I have been overseas for over a decade having also taught in the Middle East. I took the decision to complete Keele’s MA programme specifically because of its international focus, giving me some valuable insight into, and perspective of, the emerging nature of Education Inc. Through my MA, I have grown to realise my own potential and that a PhD will give me an even greater understanding of my job-of-work in its intercultural setting and, more importantly, of my own place within that complex space. I am glad that I chose Keele, not through some random selection of a generic Education Masters, but through a deliberate process of finding a course which answered questions in my chosen professional niche, and which will empower me with a deeper comprehension of myself, my colleagues and the societies I serve.
