Tell us about your research:
My research mainly focuses on Markov switching models including exogenous and endogenous Markov switching models and their applications to both economics and financial time series. I wanted to do something where I could combine my mathematics degree with finance.
What do you plan to do after Keele?
After Keele, I would like to stay in academia. Beginning with part-time teaching to gain experience, I hope to find a more permanent academic position.
What training did you find useful at Keele?
Keele provides various helpful training/workshops and the recent training that I have found very useful is "Scientific writing". It helped me understand the concepts of clear and concise writing and how these should be used in scientific research. It highlighted the day-to-day problems scientists experience in writing and explained how to avoid them. The training was very interactive and kept all of us engaged throughout the sessions.
