Trinity CertTESOL Modular
The Language Centre offers the Trinity College (London) certificate in TESOL on a modular basis run over two years.
The Trinity College Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is one of the most widely recognised and highly regarded initial TESOL qualifications and is accepted by the British Council and also by schools and employers worldwide.
The Language Centre at Keele University has been offering a highly successful modular programme leading to the CertTESOL for several years. The course is offered as elective modules for Keele students over 2 or 3 years (2 modules per year) and aims to provide initial training in TEFL through a balance of practical teaching experience and varied input sessions. Trainees will have the opportunity to work extensively with the large body of overseas students at Keele University and with refugees and asylum seekers at a local charity.
There are 4 modules which students can take as elective modules over 2 or 3 years. If taken as undergraduate electives there is no additional charge for tuition, just the Trinity College moderation fee (approximately £165) to pay at the end of module 4.

What our students say
Here's what some of our previous students had to say about our Trinity CertTESOL module:
"Just wanted to say how much I appreciate your efforts in getting us through the two years. It has been refreshing to see some actually amazing teachers and your help has been truly invaluable. Although I don't intend to pursue TESOL as a career like others from the group, I am going to take a module as part of my degree next year where I'll be going into secondary schools to observe and teach as part of an initiative to encourage curiosity for computing in young students.
I would have never considered this module pre-TESOL and the confidence, insight and knowledge gained from experiencing this course is something which I am thoroughly grateful for. I have no doubt that the hard work has been worthwhile and it has been an absolute pleasure to work with such an incredible team."
