Concha Pérez

Concha Pérez has been the Teaching Fellow in Spanish at Keele since 1988. Since 2009 she has been in charge of the Language Centre's Spanish language electives pathway (design, delivery and assessment of 10 modules) . Previously she was Programmes Director for the Minor Degree in Spanish.

Concha is a qualified examiner for RSA Modern Languages and co-designed and taught on PGCE Spanish Boosters and the MFL in-service Spanish Enhancement Course, SKE, both in the Education Department. Prior to her current post, she taught at several FE and HE institutions (Madrid, Oxford and Staffordshire University) on the Postgraduate International Marketing Diplomas.

Concha has a BA (Hons) in Modern History from the Autónoma University, Madrid. She qualified as teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language at International House, Madrid. Her M.A. is in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at Universidad Nebrija, Madrid, and she followed a Bilingualism postgraduate MA course in Applied Linguistics in Salford University. She is particularly interested in Spanish Contemporary Studies, Film in language and teaching, Second Language acquisition, Bilingualism and the development of course and teaching materials.
