Overview
The information below is relevant to the January intake only. If you would like to start this course in September, please visit our September pages for further details.
The January start point is open to all students and will particularly suit those who are not ready to start in autumn or who would like longer to plan for their studies. It is also appealing to students who wish to complete their Foundation Year in a compressed time frame (January to September) but without loss of teaching weeks or acceleration of teaching and content delivery. The number of weeks of teaching and the number of credits taught is equivalent to the September start.
COURSE CONTENT
Our Foundation Year allows you to develop your critical thinking, academic reading, writing, and communication study skills along with subject-specific knowledge and skills which will be invaluable in your academic studies and beyond.

This multidisciplinary approach will help to build your confidence in the academic study skills and subject specific knowledge to support your success in your degree. You will be studying alongside students from a range of degree programmes which will allow you to expand your academic interests and to build strong cross University networks.
This Foundation Year is a two-semester programme that provides a tailored pre-degree programme of study to better prepare you for year one of your course.
