Welcome 2023

Welcome Week, which commences on Monday 18th September, is new this year.

We are putting together an exciting programme of activities, all geared towards ensuring that you hit the ground running in the next academic year, whether you are a new student joining us for the first time, or a returning student.

Alongside centralised activities open to all students, including our campus marketplace, Freshers' Fair at Keele SU, nights out and workshops, you will also be able to attend school-specific events organised by your school. These sessions will introduce you to the year ahead, ensure you have key information, and give you the chance to check in with staff and fellow students in both formal and informal events.

Activities may include:

• skill-building sessions
• looking ahead to key elements of your course
• learning about the best ways to succeed in your studies
• hearing about inspiring research in your school
• planning ahead for careers
• meeting up with your academic mentor

Of course, there will be a good sprinkling of school social events too so that you have a chance to connect with students and staff in a fun way.

You will be expected to attend all school sessions during the week, as this is an important part of the academic calendar. We will be releasing the timetable of events in due course and well in advance of the week itself.
