Here at Keele University, we run lots of events and campaigns throughout the year - and we'd love you to get involved! These range from one-off awareness days/weeks to ongoing campaigns about some really important subjects. Find out about these events on the Keele What’s On app, and on our social media (scroll down to links at the bottom of this page)!
Here’s some information about some of our ongoing campaigns for this academic year:
We want every member of the Keele community to feel safe, supported and accepted. Even if you yourself would never say anything to intentionally offend or disprespect someone else, we might witness disrespectful behaviour, such inappropriate jokes and bullying. The #NeverOK aims to end all forms of violence and discriminatory behaviour. Find out more about the campaign on the web pages.
We strive to embed sustainability in all that we do at Keele, something we call ‘Root and Branch’. To explain this a little, we see our campus as the ‘root’ of our green endeavours, and our activities, people and research as the ‘branches’. As well as developing sustainability projects across campus, we try to educate students on environmental issues and provide opportunities for you to put your own ideas in place. There are lots of activities across campus to get involved with, from growing your own fruit and vegetables on the allotments to upcycling activities - find out more on the web pages.
