Halls Reps
Our Halls Reps work together for their own halls and put on events to help make everyone feel at home here at Keele. Think treasure hunts, film nights, and even a cake decorating competition - don't miss out! All the events run by the Halls Rep team are on the Keele App. We also have Sustainability Halls Reps, volunteers who champion University sustainability intiatives within their halls as well as running their own projects to encourage more environmentally-conscious behaviour!

Intro to the team
Hello, I'm Mel, Student Experience and Engagement Officer.
I look after the Halls Reps in Residence Life and I'm also a Keele graduate. When I'm not working, I spend my time reading, writing and and playing quidditch - it's a real sport, go check it out!
Like running events? Then why not become a Halls Rep yourself?
There are two kinds of Halls Rep:
- Events Rep - organise events and activities, both virtual and in-person, for their halls
- Sustainability Rep - champion sustainability initatives for your halls of residence, helping the sustainability team to deliver key messages, and suggesting ways for halls to become more environmentally-conscious too.
Here's the team for the 2020/21 academic year!

"Hi, I'm Anastasia and I'm a second year Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry student. I like to spend my time watching YouTube, singing in Gospel Choir and rowing in Boat Club. I am most excited about developing my leadership skills, project management skills and encouraging my halls to become more environmentally conscious as a Sustainable Halls Rep."

"Hi, I'm Will, and I'm in my First Year at Keele, studying Physical Geography and Environmental Science. I am greatly enthused in championing environmentalism and sustainability, in my life, and across campus in any way I can! I'd like to think I'm in touch with our natural environment, as well as being a fairly quirky extrovert. In my spare time, I enjoy nature walks, climbing mountains, travelling the world and experiencing different cultures and keeping active. I am also involved in volunteering in conservation matters within my community. If you have any questions around how you could be more sustainable, I'm more than happy to point you in the right direction!"

"Hi! I'm Fareeha, I'm a third year Computer Science and Neuroscience student, and I'm looking forward to organising some fun online/in-person events for us to all enjoy. This year might feel different than most, but it doesn't mean you can't get to know your block and your flatmates as you would in any other year! I'm excited to take on this role and get organising some engaging games for you and your household to participate in. Don't miss out on everything we've got lined-up for you this year including online multiplayer games, movie nights and more!"

"I'm Lydia, I study Environment and Sustainability, and I also run my own business which is all about living sustainably and reconnecting with nature. With my business I educate and teach people about some of the world's most pressing environmental issue and inform and encourage people with how we can all do our bit, and demand better change for the planet. I am excited about becoming a Halls Rep to help more people can find how to live more consciously on this planet."

"Hi everyone, my name is Noni and I am a first-year Pharmacy student! I have many interests but to put them succinctly I am interested in Global Health, Manga and Sports! As Halls Representative, I plan to help host fun, interactive activities to keep us all connected even though we are physically apart. I also would like to be someone you can talk to if you are having any issues with the halls or if you just need someone to talk to. Most of all, I'm looking forward to meeting you all and creating fun memories during this special year."

"Hi, I'm Emily, a first year Vet student at Keele! When I'm not babbling about animals and the environment you can catch me playing frisbee (the best sport) or baking! I'm really passionate about the environment and leading a less-wasteful life in general, and am looking forward to helping you discover easy ways to be more sustainable in your everyday life and make a positive impact together as a green campus. Hopefully I'll get to meet loads of people this year in some great fundraisers and eco-based activities to raise our sustainable spirit!"

"My name's Elise, I'm 18 years old and I'm from a tiny village called Cresswell in Staffordshire. In my free time, I enjoy going to my local dojo and practising Jusitsu, reading and listening to the news as I love current affairs. Having lived in a very rural area I spend most of my time running and hiking with my three dogs. When I'm not chasing after my dogs or watching the news, or getting thrown around my local dojo, you'll find me at work! Since the age of fourteen, I've worked in the automotive manufacturing business part-time in the week and full time every holiday. "

"I'm Adrienne, a new student at keele, in my first year of pharmacy. My hobbies are knitting, drawing, listening to music and dancing though I do most of the dancing in my room or in the bathroom! My first language is French because I was born and lived in Cameroon, West Africa, before I moved here. Fun facts about me are that I have never been to the cinema or watched Game of Thrones!"
