Disabled Students' Allowance

Financial support

What support is available?

Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSAs for short) cover some of the extra costs you have because of a disability, learning difficulty or long-term health problem. Please note that it is your responsibility to apply for Disabled Students’ Allowances.

There’s lots of useful information about DSAs available online:

It is YOUR responsibility to apply for DSA.

Interim support

We recognise that getting support and reasonable adjustments in place can be a lengthy process. The assessment and application process can take time and this can delay your support provision. With this in mind, we are able to supply interim support for students who have a diagnosed disability and are awaiting funding confirmation for their support. This is only possible if you can provide evidence that you have already applied for DSA, and that there are good reasons why your application has been delayed.

If you have any questions about how to apply or what funding is available, please read the information in the above links, or get in touch with us to discuss it further.
