Postgraduate Research at Keele
Every Keele Postgraduate Research (PGR) student is assigned to one of the Faculty Research Offices (FROs) / Research Institutes (RIs). The FROs and RIs are the key administrative, academic and support units for students. Although all PGR students are governed by the same regulations and framework for research degrees, the FROs and RIs are individually responsible for ensuring that students are supported and able to adhere to the rules governing their programme.
In conjunction with the FROs and RIs, the Directorate of Student and Academic Servives (SAS) maintains central records of PGR students' progress, examinations and awards. These pages primarily relate to matters that are dealt with centrally. Use the sub-menu links on the left-hand-side of this page to navigate through information for current students on matters that are handled by SAS and other central services.

Keele University has recently undertaken a major review of its postgraduate research processes, taking into account both internal developments and best practice in the sector. This review has culminated in the new Code of Practice on Postgraduate Research Degrees. Work to update the PGR guidance and forms on this part of the website is ongoing and will be published online at intervals over the next few months, between August 2017 and Summer 2018. We thank you for your patience in the meantime.
