We are proud to announce an online meeting on Thursday 18 March at 6.00pm with Ms Carolyn Davidson, a senior British diplomat, and Consul-General designate to Osaka (Japan) Ms Carolyn Davidson will be in discussion with Keele’s Dr Lorna Lloyd. The discussion will be followed by a Question and Answer session.  

Join us to hear Carolyn share her journey within the Foreign Office, tell how her career blossomed, and demystify what it is really like to be a diplomat. 
 

About the speaker:
 
Ms Davidson joined the then FCO in 1986 and most recently served as British ambassador to Guatemala and Honduras, and before that as high commissioner to Zambia. She shared these roles with her husband, Tom Carter; as the UK's first ever job-sharing head of mission. She has also had postngs in Tokyo, Brussels, Bonn, Bangkok and Bratislava, as well as various roles in London.
