Max Cordon, 2nd year BSc Forensic Science Student

After failing to get the grades at college that I required in order to enrol on the Forensic Science course at Keele I was offered entry with the requirement of completing a science foundation year at the University.

The foundation year provided me with a stronger background in organic and inorganic chemistry and gave me confidence in giving presentations, writing essays and referencing correctly, and also gave me a chance to get used to university life.

My experience on the forensic science course since then has been brilliant due to the commitment of the lecturers and lab staff in providing me with the necessary tools to pursue a career in forensic science. I particularly enjoy the practical lab sessions where we get hands on experience with techniques used in the field such as fingerprint enhancement and identification, DNA, blood spatter, and chemical analysis using the newly added equipment and lab spaces contained within the CSL building.

If you want to experience one of the best forensic science programmes in the country, Keele is the place to do it.
