Keele gains two new PhD students to work on POLKA project

Two new PhD students, Yokesh Subramanian (from India) and Sadaf Arabi (from Iran), have just been appointed to work at Keele with Professor Maria Heckl on the POLKA project. This is a four-year project (2019 – 2023), funded by the European Commission (Marie-Curie ITN, Horizon 2020). The aim of this is €4M project is to solve technological problems unique to hydrogen combustion: thermoacoustic instabilities and flame flashback. A multidisciplinary approach will be taken involving academic and industrial partners from 7 different counties and a total of 15 PhD positions.
