Project Description

Cloud computing introducing a set of on-demand services which allows hosting applications in a dynamic, scalable, and multi-tenancy approach. By allowing a large number of users and applications to use the platform and services, it’s become essential to ensure the availability of those services to support the level of scalability and performance that should be provided through Auto-Scaling service (as a part of pay-per-use pricing paradigm). My Ph.D. approach is to consider using code instrumentation on cloud-based applications, in order to select the right performance and scalability measurements, that help us to interpret the application’ performance measurements, to support software engineers to fine tune such software systems to achieve optimal performance.
