American Mathematical Society Special Session

Dr. Paul Truman presented in the special session "Hopf algebras and their applications" at the American Mathematical Society meeting in Auburn, Alabama. This special session covered the applications of Hopf algebras to areas such as Galois theory, representation theory, and theoretical physics, as well as the recently discovered connection between Hopf-Galois structures, braces, and the Yang-Baxter equation. Dr. Truman also gave a second talk at the satellite conference "Hopf algebras and related topics" in Montgomery, Alabama.
