Research Visit to Germany

Dr Paul Truman spent a week visiting Prof. Cornelius Greither at Bundeswehr University Munich, working on problems concerning the applications of Hopf algebras to problems in Algebraic Number Theory.

In particular, the pair explored interactions between their existing individual work on the structure of the Hopf algebras that give Hopf-Galois structures on Galois extensions of fields. Whilst in Munich, Dr Truman also gave a seminar entitled "Commutative Hopf-Galois module structure of tame extensions" at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
