Get Involved in the Project!

As the project is progressing we are eager to get more staff and students involved in helping to review regulations.

How can you get involved?

There are a significant number of individual regulation review which will be taking place simultaneously. We are eager to include staff who have a particular interest in specific regulations in the specific review group. We want to give an opportunity to any member of academic staff to get involved in the project; we would encourage you to volunteer even if you have not participated in an exercise like this before! You can view a list of which regulations are up for review here.

Please fill in  this google form to let us know you’d like to be involved.

There are two types of opportunities for students to get involved in the project

We will be organising focus groups with students to road-test regulations that have been redrafted into Plain English (using the Accessible Writing Guidance). You can find an example of a regulation redrafted into plain English here.

You can also get involved in the individual regulations reviews, which will be conducted in committee-style meetings. Students and Student Voice Representatives are encouraged to get involved in these individual reviews, as they will be have a significant impact on not just the readability of these regulations, but their content, meaning and effect as well. Participating in the individual regulations reviews is a HEAR recordable activity. If you are interested in this activity, you can view a list of which regulations are up for review here.

Please fill in this google form to let us know you’d like to be involved.
