Partnership Development

The Partnership Development team within RaISE aims to support larger-scale strategic partnering activities.  Its members provide support to academics to locate strategic partners for their activities and work to develop and deliver high-impact growth projects, such as the University’s ERDF-supported activities within the Keele University Business Gateway.

The team’s goals are:

  • To identify opportunities for commercial and other strategic partnerships, and provide relationship management support
  • To provide cross-faculty key account management for strategic research partners
  • To develop business collaborations for Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)
  • To advise on Intellectual Property, identify commercial partners for University IP, and negotiate terms
  • To develop selected strategic bids for research infrastructure and programmes to support business engagement for R&D
  • To advise on the development of Faculty Research Strategies and REF Impact Case Studies
  • To sponsor partnership and business engagement projects through the Academic Project Development Framework and to ensure that all projects meet its requirements
