Loss, Bereavement and End of Life Care Group
The School of Nursing and Midwifery (SNaM) Loss, Bereavement and End of Life research group welcomes academics, healthcare professionals and users and carers who are interested in, and committed to, improving the care of the dying and the support available to the bereaved. We meet bi-monthly (every second month) and discuss a range of topics, primarily focusing on current research and recent clinical practice initiatives.
The group aims to be a supportive environment that enables people to develop their research engagement through academic writing and developing bids. Indeed, individuals have used the group to write their first paper and submit their first bid for research money. We also share ideas around a variety of topics including methodology, ethical considerations and personal experiences of undertaking a PhD.
Attendance is free, no prior booking is required, and these seminars are open to anyone across the university, local trusts, private organizations and charities.
