Co-working event aims to spark inspiration

Freelancers and small business owners in North Staffordshire are invited to an innovative co-working event which aims to spark creativity and collaboration.

Staffordshire Jelly will take place in IC3 on Keele University Science and Business Park between 9am and 5pm on Thursday, July 29, and organiser Bret Shah hopes the launch event will be the first of many.

Jelly was started in the USA and is now increasingly popular in the UK with more 20 active groups already operating.

Bret, whose company Literacy Booster is based on Keele Science Park, said:  “I am using my expertise as a primary school teacher to create a literacy programme and support parents who want to help their children to become better writers.

“Having a full-time job as well as trying to set up a business can make you feel quite isolated, and I thought there must be others who would like the opportunity to bounce ideas off like-minded people.

“Staffordshire Jelly is not about networking or selling but is a mixture of work, chat, sharing ideas, helping others with business issues, passing on tips and collaborating on a new project.”
