Keele University’s award winning student radio station, KUBE Radio, has hosted the Student Radio Association’s national training day.

Members of student radio stations from across the country came to Keele for a unique opportunity to participate in workshops, question and answer sessions and talks with major industry names.

The day took place in Chancellor’s Building, and then moved to K2 where delegates had the opportunity to win a trip to Radio 1.

Speakers included Greg James, 'Producer Neil' Sloane from Radio 1, Tommy Sandhu from BBC Asian Network, Stuart George from BBC Radio Stoke and the Programme Controller Neil Greenslade from Galaxy FM.

There were also speakers from Wise Buddha and PRS to provide information on licensing and the workings of the radio industry.

The ‘breakout sessions’ aimed to advise all on many aspects of radio, such as presenting styles and production techniques, as well as giving all the chance to meet professionals within the field of broadcasting.
