In common with all other degrees at Keele, the University's Postgraduate Research Degrees are subject to the University Act, Charter, Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations. All PGR students are governed by the same regulations and framework for research degrees.

The Faculty Research Offices/Research Institutes are individually responsible for ensuring that students are supported and able to adhere to the rules governing their programme.

Aegrotat and Posthumous Awards

Postgraduate research degrees at Keele are subject to the same process as for all other degrees for Aegrotat awards (where students become to ill to continue their studies) and Posthumous awards (where students pass away during their studies).
