Children and Young People's Research Network

Our aim is to promote, coordinate and support excellence in research and practice with children and young people.

The Network brings together researchers and practitioners with an interest in children’s social development, cognitive development and their health and well-being. We are interested in researching and sharing best practice on how children develop across many different settings.

Membership is open to researchers and practicitioners within and external to Keele University who have an interest in conducting and dissemeninating research with children and young people. The Network also has affiliate members from outside the university; we currently have 88 members and are growing all the time. Currently we have members from Staffordshire University, Manchester Metropolitan University, and the University of Chester, with colleagues from health services and the third sector too. We welcome researchers and practictioners from other institutions, settings, or charities. Please get in touch if you would be interested in learning more about us. We welcome individuals from all professional backgrounds and are particularly keen to expand our membership of practitioners.

The Network is also actively involved in developing and maintaining relationships with external partners such as local schools, theatres, social enterprises, charities and youth groups. We work together to conduct research which has a real world impact. Please do get in touch if you would be interested in working with us.
