Keele University has four subjects listed in the UK's top 10 in the Complete University Guide published today.

The four top 10 subjects are:
Forensic Science 2nd
Medicine 9th (up from 10th last year)
Nursing 10th (up from 12th)
Physiotherapy 4th (up from 6th)

Keele also has a further seven subjects in the top 20: Pharmacology and Pharmacy (13); American Studies (15); Creative Writing (15); Marketing (16); Education (18); Social Work (19) and Communication and Media Studies (20).

Keele University Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost, Professor Mark Ormerod, said: "To have four subjects in the top 10 in the UK, and 11 in the Top 20 is very impressive. This latest national league table underlines our nationally leading position and strength across the board in Health, with three of our four disciplines in the top 10, as well as our genuinely leading position in the UK in Forensic Science. This is an excellent result for Keele that recognises our internationally leading research and high quality education and student experience. We have topped the National Student Survey for overall student satisfaction two years running and our student employability remains extremely high.”

Overall Keele is placed 4th in the West Midlands and 46th nationally.

Last year’s Higher Education Green Paper, ‘Higher education: teaching excellence, social mobility and student choice’, stated that applicants need access to robust, timely and objective information, based on criteria that are straightforward and easily understood. The Complete University Guide makes all of its information available so that students are able to make informed choices.
