Keele University maths staff launch exam revision tool
“Working through past papers is a great way to prepare for exams. Our videos will demonstrate the endorsed solutions to actual questions and carefully explain how to obtain full marks.”
Keele University Mathematics staff have developed a suite of videos to help A level pupils revise for their maths exams.
There are currently complete solutions to around 35 papers available. These solutions are all endorsed by OCR and MEI and presented by experienced lecturers, teachers and examiners. Solutions currently available include those for all core OCR and MEI A level modules from from 2010 and 2011. Over the next few months, the team plan to both increase the number of A level solutions available and also provide OCR GCSE Maths videos.
Users can filter videos by topic to practise answering specific topics or can work through model answers to complete papers, via the website www.keelevideosolutions.com. They can be viewed on a laptop, desktop, tablet and many mobile phones.
Professor Graham Rogerson, head of Keele’s School of Computing and Mathematics, said: “Working through past papers is a great way to prepare for exams. Our videos will demonstrate the endorsed solutions to actual questions and carefully explain how to obtain full marks.”
The videos are available directly to students, and also to schools and colleges via a discounted system.
The student cost is £9.99, giving access until 31 August 2013. Two sample videos can be viewed for free on the website.
