Daniel Bourne, our nominee with a part-time job off-campus is a Call Transfer Agent working for local firm Autonet Insurance.  He is a 3rd year studying Business Management & History and was nominated for his outstanding contribution at work, his positive outlook, willingness to learn and reliability.

Both Daniel and Laurie will receive recognition for being category winners at the institutional stage of the competition and will now be put forward for the West Midland Regional Final. If they are successful at this level they will then be through to the national final!

Kerry Whitfield, KeeleSU’s Jobshop Coordinator said of the students’ achievements; “The Student Employee of the Year Awards aims to recognise and promote the outstanding contributions and achievements of students who combine part-time work with their study commitments. It has been coordinated on an annual basis by the National Association of Student Employment Services (NASES) since 2002 and has grown year on year.  We’re absolutely thrilled that Daniel and Laurie have shown such levels of enthusiasm and commitment to be recognised in this way.”

We wish both nominees the best of luck with the next stage of the competition.  They will both be invited to the KeeleSU Awards to be presented their institution category winner certificates on 21st May.
