Posted on 07 September 2012

Following its recent Ofsted inspection, Keele University Day Nursery has received a glowing report in which the setting has been judged as “good” against each criteria of assessment, the second highest grade available.

The Inspector observed that there are warm and caring relationships between the staff and the children and noted that the training that staff receive enables them to have a positive impact on the children’s care, learning and development.

Rachel Adams, Deputy Director of HR said: "We are delighted with this positive report which is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the 32-strong team at the Nursery. The standards that are being achieved in the current setting provide a firm foundation as we look forward to moving into the new facility in September."

The new purpose-built Day Nursery will be officially opened by Dt Maggie Atkinson, Children’s Commissioner for England, on 1 October.
