50th Anniversary Poetry and Music at Keele

Posted on 15 October 2012

The last poetry event of Keele University’s anniversary year is a fabulous collaboration of live poetry and music in the Westminster Theatre, Chancellor’s Building on the University campus on Monday 29 October at 7 pm.

Poets Laureate of England and Wales – Carol Ann Duffy and Gillian Clarke are joined by South London band LiTTLe MACHiNe: Walter Wray, Steve Halliwell and Chris Hardy.

Poems, classic and obscure, are given a new voice in songs accompanied by acoustic instruments, strong melodies and watertight harmonies. “Poetry is the best words in the best order and LiTTLe MACHiNe have been just as careful in creating new music that can move the feet for words that move the soul”.
