Staff and students at Keele University are gearing up to raise money for a cancer charity.

Fitness fans will be taking part in spinning classes between 8am and 8pm on Thursday, May 12, at Keele Sports Centre to raise money for Orchid, the only UK registered cancer charity to focus entirely on the male-specific cancers.

Twelve one-hour sessions with 13 bikes per class will be held, with each session costing £5.

Casual leisure co-ordinator Robin Lowe said: “We are raising money for testicular cancer as our colleague has recently recovered from this life-threatening condition for the second time, and hope to increase awareness of a condition that is not often spoken about.”

Bikes can be reserved in advance by calling 01782 733368 or participants can turn up on the day.
