Week at Keele

The 2017 Pre-sessional Academic English Summer School came to a close on Friday 15th September.

If you walked through the Art Gallery in the Chancellor’s Building on 15th September you would have noticed the genuine buzz of activity as students were presenting and showcasing their superb conference-style posters. Following this prizes were awarded for the most informative and well-presented posters, certificates were presented, delicious food eaten, photos taken, hugs given, tears shed and well wishes exchanged.

This year the Language Centre saw the launch of two additional courses, ACCESS and EASE and students were given the option of studying English from 4-16weeks. A total of 63 UG, PG and PGR students attended one or more of these courses. This year's students were very impressive and their diligence, enthusiasm, good nature and willingness to work and learn was commented on by Martina Wallner, Head of the Centre in her opening speech. English language teaching staff all agreed that they have been a genuine pleasure to work with and wish them continued success at Keele.

Look out for these students in the next few weeks.
