Biography

I qualified as a pharmacist in 2012 and worked in community pharmacy for Well in a variety of roles including relief pharmacist and pharmacy manager. In 2015 I was seconded into a head office role in the learning and development team to look after their pre-registration programme and during my three years in this position my role grew to look after all clinical and professional development for the business and also recruitment of their graduate pharmacy programmes. During this time I developed a keen interest in the education of pharmacists and I worked closely with Keele School of Pharmacy to jointly deliver a diploma offering to pharmacists in the business. I wanted to pursue this interest more and took up the position of postgraduate academic clinical educator in June 2018 at Keele where I was based in the postgraduate team working across both the clinical diploma programme and independent prescribing. In May 2019 I accepted the position of Independent Prescribing Programme Manager.
