Biography

I graduated from Keele University with a Masters in Pharmacy (MPharm) in 2012, having come through the Health Foundation Year and then the MPharm degree In May 2017 I returned to the School of Pharmacy as a member of the academic teaching staff, taking on the role of Teaching Fellow, and later, Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice. I have a long association with community pharmacy, having worked as a Pharmacy Technician for Lloyds Pharmacy, ASDA and Cornwell's Chemists prior to registering as a Pharmacist, and then working for Lloyds Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Manager; a role which I held for nearly 4 years.

I primarily teach law, ethics and practice, including public health promotion, but also deliver content on the Health Foundation Year and Forensic Science programmes. In September 2019 I enrolled to study a PhD with the university, and continue to teach on the MPharm programme. I also work part-time in a private hospital providing medicines management support.

Research and scholarship

My areas of interest are public health / health promotion, pharmacy education and gastroenterology. I am currently studying for a PhD in Pharmacy with the focus of community pharmacy support for patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
