Biography

I have been at Keele University since 2010 and have undertaken a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate and Faculty-level leadership roles, especially in relation to professional doctorate programmes. Following registration as a pharmacist in 1995, I completed an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy in 1998, a PhD in Pharmacy Practice in 2008, and an MA in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education in 2013. I became a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2018 and a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in 2020.

My research interests mainly lie in the fields of medicines usage, pharmacy practice and pharmacy education, although I also have interests in a diverse variety of related fields, including public health, health services research and implementation science. I supervise students doing their DPharm, PhD and undergraduate projects, and I teach qualitative research methods and a variety of topics in pharmacy practice.
