I am a Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have previously worked in both hospital and community pharmacy. Since leaving pharmacy practice, I have graduated as a teacher of Business and ICT and have taught in Secondary and Further Education.
Since working at Keele University, I have gained a Post-Graduate certificate for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, gained Fellow membership of the Higher Education Academy and I have completed a Masters in Professional Studies in Education. My dissertation focused upon research into the use of learning styles theories and the transition to Higher Education.
I teach a range of subject within the Pharmacy Practice area including Stage 1 Practical Pharmacy Skills, Medicines Regulation, Communication Skills and Professional Portfolio writing. In Stage 2 I teach Extemporaneous Dispensing and for Health Foundation Year, I teach Information Technology for Health.
