I am an academic and community pharmacist. I first joined the School of Pharmacy in 2010 as a Teacher Practitioner whilst working for Boots UK. In 2015, I joined the School of Pharmacy full time as a Teaching Fellow.
I have experience in:
- Community Pharmacy management
- Pre-registration programmes and careers development
- eLearning design
- Care Home Pharmacy
I am current chair of the UKCPA Education and Development Committee, sit on the UKCPA community pharmacy committee and am secretary of RPS Shropshire and Staffordshire.
My areas of interest are care homes pharmacy, dementia and mental health.
My textbook with Dr Rebecca Venables, ‘A Practical Guide to Medicines Administration’, will be published by Taylor and Francis in Summer 2018.
My research interests are mental health pharmacy and pharmacy education.
My role includes pharmacy practice and therapeutics teaching on the undergraduate programme, as well Medicine Use Review accreditation with the CPD4ALL team.
I am joint careers lead, providing support to Keele MPharm students with careers development and pre-registration training. I am also professional development lead for stage 3 and 4 MPharm students and lead provision of stage 2 and 3 community placements.
