Biography

I joined the School in May 2010. My main roles include: Chair of the School of Pharmacy Research Ethics and Governance committee, investigating officer for Fitness to Practise and jointly conducting Equality impact assessments.

Previous to joining Keele, I was senior lecturer in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Manchester. In that role I was involved in teaching administration, teaching and research in the area of pharmacy practice. I have a PhD in formulation and earlier in my career taught and researched in the area of pharmaceutics. I have published extensively in the research areas of pharmacy practice and pharmaceutics.

I was the joint recipient of a National Training Award for the development of work-based learning for pharmacy students.

I have held external examiner appointments in a number of UK universities.

I am co-author of two undergraduate textbooks on pharmaceutical calculations, have co-edited two editions of Pharmaceutical Practice (an undergraduate text book) and written several chapters for other textbooks
