Biography

After completing a hospital-based pre-registration year, I worked as a community pharmacist for approximately ten years before returning to hospital pharmacy in a variety of clinical, management and education roles. I have also worked in primary care as a prescribing adviser and practice-based pharmacist. I qualified as an Independent Prescriber at Keele in 2007 and have used this qualification in both primary and secondary care. In 2009 I moved into academic pharmacy, where I have been involved in teaching on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including postgraduate independent prescribing courses for pharmacists.
