Dhanesh, Pharmacy (MPharm)
My name is Dhanesh and I’m a 3rd year pharmacy student and I chose Keele as I fell in love with the beautiful, green campus and loved the close-knit community feel at Keele, as well as the innovative MPharm course and its use of new technology such as the 3D cinema.
The most important thing I’ve learnt while at Keele is that there is always someone there to support and help you through the tough times and give you the advice that you need to do well in the course or future ambitions. The MPharm course at Keele is intense but enjoyable helping me realise there is more to a pharmacist’s role than I previously thought.
There are so many support systems in place that helped me settle into life at Keele, like my personal tutor or my buddy, so there is always somebody I can talk to about any issues. There’s always something going on at Keele, I’ve got involved in several societies such as ambassadors and watersports as well as sports clubs like badminton and ski & board. The pharmacy society (KAPS) helps you meet & socialise with people on the course, which is always a good start! I’ve been on a variety of community and clinical placements, giving me an insight into the different areas of pharmacy that I may want to go into after graduating.
