Therapeutics
The broad goal of the therapeutics theme is to conduct basic and translational research into human disease that will ultimately lead to new therapies. Our research investigates several areas where there is a need for improved medical care or there are emerging medical technologies that can be applied to different diseases.
Neuroscience
The neuroscience group has a broad interest in developing therapies for neurodegenerative disease, spinal cord injury and stroke.
Cancer
The cancer group seeks to develop novel therapies and biomarkers for cancer treatment and diagnosis and the translation of radiotherapy and drug therapy into clinical use.
Medicines Evaluation
This group conducts a range of research including epidemiological studies, medicines optimisation analysis, decision support systems and pharmacy education.
Additional areas of interest:
We are conduct research into drug delivery across the skin, genetic epidemiology, malaria, fertility and blood coagulation.

New BHF award to Prof Glenn Morris and Dr Ian Holt
